PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL      

The Parochial Church Council of Alkerton with Shenington met at the school on January 24 attended by nine members with Rev. Jeffrey Chard in the chair.

It now seems unlikely there will be a demand to place a mobile phone mast in the church tower and so this matter will not be pursued further.

Arrangements for cutting the grass at both Alkerton and Shenington churchyards were discussed.

Quinquennial inspections have been carried out at both churches by the church architects and both reports have now been received. The necessary repair work will have to be done in stages with that at Alkerton needing approval from English Heritage from whom a grant may be available.

Benefice services in the near future include one at Alkerton on March 30 and one at Shenington on May 29.
