VILLAGE HALL TRUSTEES
The Management Committee of the Village Hall Trust held its annual open meeting on July 19. The officers, namely Chairman John Evans, Treasurer Joy Kendell and Booking Secretary Ann Benham were all unanimously re-elected as were the appointees of the various village organisations Gillian Crabb (Parish Council), Ethel Anson (Village Hall Social Committee), Keith Heron (Gardening Club), Doreen Smith (Church) and Mandy Yates (School Nursery).
The plans of the first two phases of the hall refurbishment were on display. Grants in support have been received from SITA, Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council.
The heating will be altered to provide background heating day and night to combat the damp and to compensate for this the hiring charge will be changed to £3.50 per hour instead of the current minimum rent of £7.50 for the first 3 hours with outside hirers paying £6 per hour.
