Bells at St Michaels Church

THE BELLS AT ST MICHAELS CHURCH

The largest bell, the tenor, was overhauled and re-hung in the presence of the Rector, churchwardens and a number of children from the village primary school in February 1996. The picture shows the tenor bell being hauled into the bell chamber. The remaining four bells were re-hung and the Ellacombe chiming mechanism re-installed in the summer of 2000.
