Stone carving at Holy Trinity Church
Carved in stone on the south wall is the figure of a man, dressed in a robe, with his arms raised with a beast beside him. This is believed to represent a priest blessing the livestock of the parish. Unfortunately these figures have weathered very badly over recent years but a stone replica of them was made and donated by a late parishioner, Mr. Harold Clifton. This replica, mounted in the church porch in 1990, is shown below.
